wow, time flies when you are having fun right? or is it from a lack of sleep? well to start things off, we had our baby! KINSLEY LYN was born december 14, 2009 at 6:47 p.m. she weighed 5 lbs and 10 oz. and was 19 inches long.
here is the story.... i had my second weekly appt. that morning, so tony and i started on the road down to ogden. but one minor problem, we got stuck in morgan canyon (by taggarts grill) because some stupid semi hauling like this huge thing rolled over in the west bound lanes. so we sat there for an hour. and ya know being 37 weeks pregnant, stuck in an accident, while its snowing, and having to pee really bad just totally sucks! we finally made it to ogden at noon, i walked very fast to my dr's office, cuz i was an hour and a half late. my dr. checked me and i was at a 4 plus dialated and 75% thinned out (at my first weekly appt, i was at 3 centimeters and 50% thinned out). he also stripped my membranes, that felt lovely! so then he tells me to go have lunch and walk around to get my contractions going, and then to come back to labor and delivery. so tony and i went and ate at olive garden, then we did a little christmas shopping, since we weren't even close to being done for christmas, then we headed back to the hospital around 2. i get checked in to L&D, the nurse checks me, and i am 5 plus and 90% thinned out! YES!! this is really happening now! so i finally got into my room about 3 p.m. and kinda just chilled. i couldn't feel any pain yet so i was thinking maybe i can do it without the epidural. the dr. broke my water at 4 p.m. and there was no change. crap! the nurse asked me how fast i went with my first baby after they broke my water, i told her about 2 1/2 hours. she looked at me like i was crazy. so when she checked me at 5 p.m. and i was only at 6 centimeters, she looks at me and says "i don't think we are gonna make your 2 1/2 hour mark". ok, no worries, i say. i finally started to have pain, so at 5:30, i got the epidural. the nurse checks me again at 6 p.m., and i am at 9 centimeters and fully thinned out. she asks me to push once so she can see if the baby has moved down any further. i start to push and she yells at me to stop cuz the baby's head is like right there. she then starts to page every nurse to come in, just in case the dr doesn't make it. NOT what i really want to hear!! so she tells me to cross my legs, not to cough, laugh, or sneeze... AWESOME!!!! i don't think the epidural had totally kicked in cuz i could feel so much pressure and some pain down there, i kept telling her i gotta push and she kept telling me NO!! so any way the dr. finally walks in at 6:30, even his intern beat him there, ya i had in intern!!! again, AWESOME! so it is finally show time...the best part is this, my legs are up in the things, and the dr. starts quizzing the intern! are you freaking kidding me!!!! he asks, "what are the three stages of labor?" i am like, hello, about to push a baby out! can we have the quiz bowl, another day? so i pushed like 3 times, and this little girl made her big entrance!
one proud daddy... she already has him wrapped around her little finger
just looking at my sweet baby girl
getting ready to leave, her clothes are just a little big...
the ride home, she slept the whole way...
so this is a way long post and was so past due, but i am gonna stop for now...more pictures and stories of the past couple months to come!

Oh she is so adorable! And I love long posts about people's labor and delivery. It is interesting to hear how it works for others. If you ever need somewhere for Jaxon to go just let me know. I would be more than happy to watch him. Well Kinsley too but I am guessing you wouldn't agree to that!
I am sad that I didn't know you had your baby until now! I very late congrats! She is adorable - look at all that hair! She was born on Annabelle;s due date - too bad all my kids like to come late. Super lame. I love reading birth stories :) Glad you guys are both healthy and safe. Congrats again!
